Yesterday boys in 5th class participated in a Basketball Blitz in Cólaiste Mhuire. Boys played in a round robin and then there was a 3rd & 4th place play-off and then a final. The teams were selected from a college basketball tournament called March Madness. The teams were Duke, University Kentucky, L.S.U Tigers and Villanova. The teams for the 3rd and 4th place play-offs were University Kentucky and Villanova. The teams in the final were Duke and L.S.U Tigers. Duke won the tournament and got a big plaque at the end. A huge thanks to all the staff and pupils in Cólaiste Mhuire for facilitating us on the day especially the 4th years who coached and refereed the games! We all really enjoyed the day 😊
