On Wednesday the 6th of February 3rd and 4th class went to Bishopstown GAA hall for a hurling blitz.. It was a competitive but fun. There was 2 Crosshaven teams playing, one 4th class team and one 3rd and 4th class team. We went up to the blitz with Mr Lyons and 3 transition year students. Our first match was against Gaelscoil na Duglaise. It was a great game and we managed to beat them 7-1! We then played Ballygarvan and it was a great game but unfortunately we lost 3-1. Since we won by so much in the first match we were into the semi-final, but once again we lost 3-1 against Gaelscoil na Duglaise.  it was their 1st team this time though. Even though we didn’t win we still had a great day out. Oisin Buckley 4th Class

We left at 11.30 the bus. There was loads of talking and singing on the bus. When we got there we were all so happy and excited to have fun and play hurling. Our first game was against DOuglas GAelscoi. Unfortunately we lost 4-0. They were really good. Next we played Ballyheada and lost 4-1. We tried our best against another tough team but we got knocked out in the group stage. Team 1 got through to the semi-final but lost to Douglas as well. In the end Douglas won the blitz but we all had fun. Daniel Tulloch
