Crosshaven B.N.S. has been making a huge effort to be active in the last few months. As we have been so active we have decided to sign up for the Active School Flag. We have introduced a number of initiatives into the school and have been working with various different partners throughout the year. To launch the initiative children began a marathon challenge where they ran 600 metres every day for 18 weeks. Children from the Active School committee measured 600 metres and each day pupils ran as part as a movement break. Pupils from 6th class have also been doing “Movement Mondays” where they played yard games with pupils from Junior Infants right up to third class. We are planning to have an Active Week at the end of the school year where we are planning a fun and active week.
