On Friday 24th May, as part of our Green Schools and National Spring Clean, 3rd class cleaned the walkways between our school and the church, and the school pitch. We collected 7 bags of rubbish in total- 3 on the walkways and 4 from outside sources on our school pitch.  The County Council came later that evening to take away our rubbish.

So you can imagine our dismay when we arrived into school Monday morning to find 2 black bags of bushes dumped on our school pitch.  Not only does it look unsightly but it puts the health and safety of our pupils at risk.

We appeal to the public to keep our school grounds and pitch litter free so we can continue to win Green flags and maintain a safe and healthy environment for our pupils to learn and play.
