The boys in 1st and 2nd classes have been busy completing the five tasks in their Incredible Edibles project. One of the tasks was to find out more about a local food producer. John and Martina Griffin had a zoom with the boys and gave them lots of interesting information and facts about growing potatoes and their business. They got to see some potato plants at different stages of development. The boys had also made a list of questions which John answered for them.
The boys got a lovely surprise and treat at the end as John and Martina had dropped in some chipping potatoes so they were all happy heading home to eat their homemade chips!
Thanks to the Griffin family for their time and generosity. The boys really enjoyed the talk and wrote all about what they had learned in their Incredible Edibles logbook.
