The boys in Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd classes received a  talk from marine biologist Aoife Deane as part of Science week. She had lots of interesting photos and videos to show the boys and talked all about the seashore and ocean habitats.

She had some teddy bears of birds and penguins and when the boys opened them up they discovered lots of rubbish and plastic bottles in their stomachs. She explained the dangers to sea life of people not disposing of waste properly.

Everyone enjoyed this interesting talk. Many thanks again to Aoife Deane for taking time out to come and speak with us.
